Scholarship Opportunities
Many incoming, full-time students in the Honors Program are eligible for the Presidential ($1250/semester) or Provost ($1000/semester) merit scholarships. Additionally, many top-qualifying applicants are offered an additional merit scholarship: the Muriel A. Howard Honors Scholarship ($1250/semester). The Honors Plus Scholarship ($1,000/semester) is offered to a limited group of Honors students not receiving merit scholarships.
Most incoming Honors students will also qualify for Buffalo State institutional grants. All scholarships and grants are communicated by the Admissions Office and are renewable for up to four years. Many students are able to cover most of their direct expenses—tuition, room, and board—with a combination of scholarships, grants, and other financial aid.
