Matthew J. Baran, M.A.

Matt (he/him) joined Buffalo State in 2021 as the Assistant Director of the Muriel A. Howard Honors Program. His primary focus is on student engagement and leadership within the Honors community. He instructs the HON111 First-Year Honors Seminar course to incoming Honors students each Fall. In 2022, he launched the Honors Leaders peer mentoring program to build supportive relationships across class years. Matt is also a college senator and serves as Vice Chair of the Student Welfare Committee.
