Students who have transferred to Buffalo State College may be offered a place in the Honors Program based on the previous course work and transfer GPA. Transfer students in honors must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 once entering Buffalo State. These students must complete at least three courses, two of which meet Intellectual Foundations requirements; the third is an Honors senior seminar course. Students are also required to complete an applied learning component (research or creative project, internship, service project, study abroad) that is often satisfied by major requirements. All Honors Program courses have an HON prefix.
