Buffalo State College students who applied for a place in the Honors Program must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 (Spring 2019 Dean’s Honors) or at least 3.3 (Fall 2019 Muriel A. Howard Honors and beyond). These students must complete at least three courses, two of which meet Intellectual Foundations requirements; the third is a senior seminar course. Beginning in the Fall of 2020, Continuing Muriel A. Howard Honors students will also be required to complete an applied learning component (research or creative project, service project, internship, or study abroad). This requirement is often satisfied within the students major. All Honors Program courses have an HON prefix.
